The old City Hall that housed the City offices, Police Department and Fire Department was renovated into a Public Safety Building starting in November 2004. A dedication ceremony was held during Riverfest 2006 to welcome the Police Department and Fire Department back into the new building. City Hall later moved into the renovated Bangor Savings Bank building on Main St.

Fueling Dreams Event

Fueling Dreams is a program that Circle K has teamed up with the Maine Special Olympics to raise money. Once a year, Officers pump gas at Circle K locations around the State. Circle K donates money to Maine Special Olympics for every gallon that is pumped. Officers also collect donations at the site. Circle K employees sell "clings" during that time period and that money is also donated to Maine Special Olympics.
